"Droning" your House!

Whatever you may ponder about drones, they have increasingly been coming into use in Real Estate. Our house photographer is doing a great job with capturing overviews, but check out this recent sound bite from Inman News.

New FAA regulations loosen drone rules for real estate agents

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced today that it will no longer require a Section 333 waiver — making it much easier for real estate agents to legally fly drones.

“We’ve worked hard to strike a responsible balance that protects the safety and privacy of individuals, while also ensuring Realtors can put drones to good use,” said Tom Salomone, broker-owner of Real Estate II Inc. in Coral Springs, Florida., and president of NAR, in a press release.

STATS THAT AMAZE AND PERHAPS AMUSE!

My goodness, I was just three years into my real estate career years ago when Washington state topped the nation's list of home-price increases  during a three-month period in 1989-1990.   And we've done it again:three months in a row topping Oregon  and Colorado.  This June release is fascinating to read. Enjoy!
It's HOT now, where San Juan Island median is One Million-and even Grays Harbor where a few years ago you could buy a house for $88,000 is now UP to $141,000!

REAL ESTATE "FUN STUFF" AND HARD-CORE STATS!

            WHO'S MOVING?
In 30 years of Real Estate, I am constantly enjoying our weekly Realtors tour,  and many agents always ask "Why are they Selling? And of course buyers ask the same.  So here are a few tongue-in-cheek answers:
“They heard you were wanting to buy their home.”
OR: "My sellers want to know why you are buying."
But one agent's idea takes the cake: “If they ask me why they are moving I say because they’re selling. If they ask me why they are selling I say because they are moving, and then we chuckle about it.”

                                               TRENDS
**Many renters still have to look for parking when they rent. Some pricey apartments are getting a perk from their landlords:VALET SERVICE.

**Celebrities hire designers when they sell, You will save money by asking your agent to help or google for many ideas to make your home shine!

                           NEWS ITEMS

** The National Association of Realtors  is joining forces with Boys and Girls Club of America.
